Street B&W

I used to travel a lot and always carry my camera with me all the time.

I find that with digital photography, more and more people can afford to buy a camera, which is really awesome but the downside of it is it is more and more difficult to actually take photos in the street.

We are definitely far from the time of Cartier Henry Bresson when pointing a lens to some one was not that “a big deal”.

Here is a capture of a Brisbane wedding gown shop. I was walking in the gallery when I spotted the dress. I stopped and waited for the moment.

B&W

Once in a while, I dedicate a full wedding in pure Black & White imagery.

This is not normally something requested by my Bride and Groom but just by personal choice and style.

Unlike post processing colour images,  Black & White processing requires more time and they also require particular attention to detail at the time of capture.

I do not simply convert images in to B&W for the sake of having a few black and whites photos for my couple.

Enjoy this serie. More to come …

A year in Photos

Looking back on 2008, Nomad Photography celebrated one year in the business under our own brand.

After second shot for a few big names in the business, Nomad Photography started in November 2007 as a young studio but with strong artistic skills in the world of wedding and portraiture.

We have shot more than 30 wedding during the year 2008 alone.

I’d like to thank all the couples that have given us their trust and have been rewarded by beautiful photos.

Because your precious moments are unique, at Nomad we don’t let them go and have captured every essential moment during the most beautfiful day of your life.

In this short slide show, about 250 photos … I take a look back on the previous season with all wonderful souvenirs and all the pleasure and chance to have shared a bit of your life.

Once again I would like to thank all our brides and grooms, along with all the families and clients for their trust in us.

May Christmas bring joy and happiness to your families. We wish you all the bests for 2009.

As mentioned above, there are more than 250 photos to load, so please be patient, it’s worth it.

I love Xmas

One of the main reasons why I love Xmas is that my youngest daughter is born on the 25th of December and she was the first Xmas baby in the country, she and her mom were even on the TV news for that :).

The other reason is of course the presents. It’s always fun to watch the excitement of the kids and there are heaps of opportunities to capture those fast happening moments.

Well, this year, I had to open my presents a bit ahead the kids and I can tell that my excitement was at least as big.

Check this out…

These are ones of the bests from Canon and I am very excited about my next wedding and fashion shoots. Obviously nothing is too much for my brides and grooms.

Back on the blog

Whooooff…

It was an intensive and very interstinhg season, I am about to get all my wedding post processing out of the way and to prepare the festive period.

Looking back in heblog and noticed that I didn’t come back here for a while. Man, the last few months were amazing, especially the last couple of weeks when I received my Canon 5D Mark II and also the portfolio shoots for local models.

I really need to rebuild my calendar and include more of blgo time into it.

Till then here ae a few shots with the Canon 5D Mark II from a portfolio shoot at Mt Stromlo.
