Sunday Wedding Sunday

It’s time to catch up with my blog after the Xmas break where I took the family overseas.

I will have a lot to catch up and post about my trip to Vietnam, with street photography, landscape and of course weddings as I also shot a couple of weddings in Vietnam.

But let’s get back to today’s post: Today, I had the pleasure to capture Pecs & Allan Wedding, very in the tradition of Philippine’s Wedding style.

The couple was just gorgeous, the bridal party was awesome and the Ceremony is over the top. Watching these love birds and I can tell that they are so much in love and …. these guys really know how to party, that’s for sure.

Although it’s a bit late, I still wanted to post some quick edits of what was an awesome way to finish a week-end.

With weddings like this, I’d take one every second Sundays 🙂

Stay tuned, more to come.

Carys & Bradley

It was a nice and warm day at the Snowy Mountain and it was certainly a beautiful day to get married.

I had the joy to photograph Carys’ sister’s wedding about 3 years ago and it is a real pleasure to capture Carys & Brad special Day.

It all started in a very funny, almost scary way:

Before getting there, I checked the weather and special snow report. It said maximum 4 degrees and minimum -7 degrees Celsius. It’s planned to be a bit cold.

I decided to put on my ski gear, as we planned to take some chair lift to go up to the mountain to have some photos, and it was … 18.5 degrees 🙂

Needless to say that all the guests were nicely dressed up and I was in a big fat ski outfit.

Carys & Brad are such a lovely couple that they had fun out of it, so were the guests.

It was a very nice an cosy wedding with the Ceremony at the Jen Paul II Ecumenical Centre, at Thredbo and the Reception at the Lake Crakenback Resort.

For the location photography with the bridal party, we went around the Church and the resort and came up with some of these images.

Thanks again to Carys & Brad for having chosen NOMAD PHOTOGRAPHY to capture their precious moments.

Alana & Daniel

It was a rainy day but the wedding I had the joy to capture was very glamour and lot of fun.

I met Alana & Daniel for more than two years now and they asked me to capture their Wedding more than a year ago.

Their Wedding has been captured entirely inside the Hotel Realm, not only because of the rain but also because the Hotel Realm is such a nice place to photograph (I did a fashion shoot for the Your Local Wedding Guide bridal magazine here along with a few fashion shoots).

We had so much fun in the Executive suites, the lounges, the Borad room and also in the lobby.

For this particular wedding, I had the joy to have TomKat Photography (www.tomkatphotography.com) coming from Sacramento and Viet as my first assistant.

Here are a few images from the Wedding and some of behind the scene shooting with TomKat Photography.

Eddy & Ondine

Once again I flew to Noumea, New Caledonia, to shoot a wedding.

Eddy and Ondine have been friends of mine for some years now and it was really pleasure to be invited to shoot their wedding.

We had it all for this special day: Heavy rain, thunder storm and a bit of sunshine. It was a bit of challenge to deal with the weather but I managed to take control of their “fear” and dragged them out for some photos.

Noumea is renown for it’s history and its lagoon. We didn’t have much options to deal with but we definitely had a good time.

PS: it was a bit of a challenge to go against local habits, especially to when I asked the newly wed to pose next to a pond, crossing a muddy grass just after a heavy rain… but again the results make them happy so…

A few images that I had time to process between to barbies with old friends.

Xtine & Henry. The selection

A quick selection of Christine & Henry wedding last saturday in Sacramento.

It was a sunny day and it was a beautiful day to get married.

At the time of edit, the happy couple is honey mooning in Hawaii and we wish them all the best for their new life.

I used a Canon 1D Mark IV and a Nikon D3s for this trip to the US and for this wedding.

Christine & Henry Tran. The Wedding

A quick post from the awesome wedding in Sacramento, California, of Christine and Henry Tran.

These two have been in love shortly when Xtine moved with her family from Washington DC to Sacramento.

Henry popped the question last year and following the traditional engagement, graciously captured by TomKat Photography (www.tomkatphotography.com), they tied the knot with a very traditional Wedding Ceremony followed by a less formal big reception with a few 500 + guests.

I enjoyed the Ceremony and the food at the Reception. Everything was awesome and even the bride took siege of the stage for a live performance dedicated to her newly wed husband.

The video is coming soon.

Here are a few images edited “basically” with my laptop in the plane on the way home. Nothing really fancy as I didn’t have my palette of “tools” for my style of editing.

Needless to say that more will be coming soon.

Special thank to TomKat Photography for the hospitality during my stay, with my family, for the wedding and for letting me shooting on his “turf”.

We’ll be back …
