NNTM

Who’d have thought that winter would have been that busy.

Quick update on the NNTM hunt (Nomad’s Next Top Model) with our winner officially announced: Brittany Murphy.

Brittany is a talent from Goulburn who is very fun and committed. She came to each of the photo shoot with plenty of enthusiasm and charms.

It was a very fun session last Sunday. It was a very special shoot because it was on Father’s Day and I’d like to thank all the talents involved:

Make Up: Aimee Benge, Cherie Salerno and Bindi Kelly

Hair Stylist: Our original hair stylist, Sarah Jayne Burke, had a problem with her car and could not be part of the shoot, lucky my guest photographer, Jenny Fisher, saved the day with her hair styling expertise. Bindi Kelly was the other hair stylist for the session.

We had Daniel from Sanguineti Media, and his crew (Sarah and Michael) for the behind the scene video of the photoshoot.

The shoot was at the White Room in Mitchell. Canberra. I used a Hasselblad H4D40 and Profot gears.

Here are some image from the shoot.

Nomad Models

Winter is settling in in Canberra and the Wedding season is almost over.

I then turned to my second passion for photography: Fashion.

From an event and wedding “profile”, I do prefer shooting outdoor, event for fashion photography and here in Canberra, we do have some amazing locations to shoot.

For these various shoots, I mainly use Profoto lighting gears and alternated Hasselblad H4D40 with Canon gears (5D2, 1D4) and Nikon gears (D3s, D3x).

I also used a couple of C.Buff products including Alien Bees B1600s and Einstein with VBII and Mini Lithium battery packs.

Insomnia

A quick post on a shoot I did last Sunday with some amazing people on an amazing location.

Models: Bex, Bec, Maree, Lauren, Chris, Olga, Sabrina & Karamia

The Make Up was done by Berni & Karamia and Hair was done by Karamia

The styling and design was by Lonnie Flores from Colour Code Couture (www.colourcodecouture.com.au)

The location we used for the shoot was Samaya (www.samaya.com.au) in Mitchell. Mega thank to Deni Jane Rich for allowing us using the shop.

I was assisted by Lyndell and uses Profoto lighting gears with a giant reflector.

The shop was open for business during the shoot and it was kinda a surprise for clients walking through the door and finding themselves in the middle of models and outfits …

TAG – Cont.

Following the first post for TAG, here comes the BTS (Behind the scene) video before the shoot.

I used a Nikon D3s, with continuous timing capture of 1fps. The lens is the Nikon 14-24 AFS – G. The camera was set on medium JPEG with an ISO of 3200. Images have been cropped in the video. I use iMovie to make this basic video.

Thanks again to all the models, the two make up artists Claire Warmenhoven and Elicia Ringuet  and the hair stylist Bianca Pezzella (www.biancanerohairboutique.com)

Special thanks to Lyndell Roberts for assisting me for this shoot.

Check out the HD mode in full screen below.

TAG

The last project for my 2010 Season before heading off for some holidays with my Family.

For this project, I wanted something a bit different and with new faces, people that I didn’t have an opportunity to work with …. well most of them as for this shoot I called back Sam (from my M for Mola shoot) and Katie whom I shot for a bridal magazine back to the end of November.

So what is TAG about ?

TAG stands for …

T for Ted’s Canberra. Special thanks to Greg, store manager Canberra, for lending me a Nikon D3x for this shoot, as I wanted to compare the pixels to my Canon 5D Mark II.

A for Alliance Francaise. Special thanks to Philippe, director of the Alliance Francaise in Canberra (www.afcanberra.com.au), for letting my use the premises for this shoot.

G for …. Guess where I got my inspiration looking at their behind the scene shoot for their 2010 campaigns. Of course we don’t have the same budget with the same team but I think we managed to pull out something decend.

On the side, I am also a huge fan of TAG (Heuer) watches as I have a few of them myself, so this project is a little bit more personal than my previous ones.

While we are in the confidence, I approached GUESS in the Civic and asked for some outfit for this shoot…

The brand being global and their commercial shoots are planned way a head and it is not to be shot in Canberra … (not yet) so we ended up using some of the models gears.

Mega thanks to all the talents involved:

Models: Carlie Potter, Natalie Edwards, Chloe Henderson, Nina, Samantha Lawson Fletcher, Katie van den Bos and Michale Kucharski (Canberra’s Bachelor of The Year 2010 finalist)

MUA: Claire Warmenhoven & Elicia Ringuet

Assistant: Lyndell Roberts
