After hours

Quick post from a shoot after hours.

After a long day on some project, we decided to break the day by having some fun with some talented people 🙂

Shannan is really a joy to work with and I’m looking forward to more projects with her in a near future.

Check back soon for more.

Model: Shannan

MUA: Kirsten

I used a Canon 1D Mark IV and off camera flash triggered by Radio Poppers.

Christine & Henry Tran. The Wedding

A quick post from the awesome wedding in Sacramento, California, of Christine and Henry Tran.

These two have been in love shortly when Xtine moved with her family from Washington DC to Sacramento.

Henry popped the question last year and following the traditional engagement, graciously captured by TomKat Photography (www.tomkatphotography.com), they tied the knot with a very traditional Wedding Ceremony followed by a less formal big reception with a few 500 + guests.

I enjoyed the Ceremony and the food at the Reception. Everything was awesome and even the bride took siege of the stage for a live performance dedicated to her newly wed husband.

The video is coming soon.

Here are a few images edited “basically” with my laptop in the plane on the way home. Nothing really fancy as I didn’t have my palette of “tools” for my style of editing.

Needless to say that more will be coming soon.

Special thank to TomKat Photography for the hospitality during my stay, with my family, for the wedding and for letting me shooting on his “turf”.

We’ll be back …

Felissa on The Blog

Another photo shoot with a young, smart and awesome model: Felissa Burton.

We did this shoot on a private property with all security measures taken care of.

Don’t try this at home 🙂

I used a Canon 1D Mark IV for this session.

Hot Day For A Kill

Following my previous post, these are a few (same) images with a different approach.

If you visit this blog for the first time, you’ll very likely see this post first …

It was a harsh and hot day and we did the shot exclusively outside with the sun high in the sky. Big thanks to the team and the crew for their professionalism. It was hot but w had really good fun (man, the food was awesome. I wish I took some take away home … )

Please bear in mind that no body got hurt during the shoot and these images have been captured with professionals with all necessary security measures.

Don’t try this at home 🙂

Tech infos:

Nikon D3s, Canon 7D and Canon 5D Mark II

Off camera flashes triggered with RadioPoppers (SB800, SB900 and 580 EX II)

PS: I just noticed that in this series, Andy is almost the victim ...

Sorry man, I’ll fix it soon 🙂

Big thanks to Mr. Ponds for allowing us to shoot in his awesome property.

BTS: Behind The Scene Photo Shoots

I always try to share my experience with other inspiring photographers and models, most of my modeling shoots are followed by a videographer.

On the Nomad Photography Youtube Chanel, I try to post as often as possible all my behind the scene shoots showing various details of a fashion shoot, lighting, composition, the gears that I use and most importantly the way I work around my models and locations.

With the best tools in the world, if you are not confident and don’t communicate with your models your photos will show it.

I really enjoy (photo) shooting models and also want the fun to be the same for all the crew and especially for my models.

Make sure to subscribe to my Youtube Chanel to get all the latest news and videos.
