Street B&W

I used to travel a lot and always carry my camera with me all the time.

I find that with digital photography, more and more people can afford to buy a camera, which is really awesome but the downside of it is it is more and more difficult to actually take photos in the street.

We are definitely far from the time of Cartier Henry Bresson when pointing a lens to some one was not that “a big deal”.

Here is a capture of a Brisbane wedding gown shop. I was walking in the gallery when I spotted the dress. I stopped and waited for the moment.

B&W

Once in a while, I dedicate a full wedding in pure Black & White imagery.

This is not normally something requested by my Bride and Groom but just by personal choice and style.

Unlike post processing colour images,  Black & White processing requires more time and they also require particular attention to detail at the time of capture.

I do not simply convert images in to B&W for the sake of having a few black and whites photos for my couple.

Enjoy this serie. More to come …

In the mail…

Today was an awesome day. It started as an usual day with nothing really exciting but it ended with a lot of good stuffs.

The best of the good stuffs was that the mailman stopped by to drop me a parcel. The long waited parcel with a precious content 🙂

As a “full time” flash user, especially outdoor in full sun light, I use a lot of off camera flash.

Untill now, I used my Canon wireless eTTL trigger (ST-E2) but have met multiple limitations (line of sight, non consistant trigger …) I have been looking at the Radio Popper systems without a really committed to buy.

When Pocket Wizards announced the MiniTT1 and the FlexTT5, I knew straight away that it was what I’ve been waiting for. Some of you may know, Pocket Wizards is considered and the industry standard and when it comes to wireless triggering system, studio or portable flashguns, they are second to none.

I must admit that I put out a pre-order back to early February when I’ve heard about the system 5Pocket Wizards only announced the system without formal date of release) . My patient is worth it as I just received the first batch of MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 delivered for the US continent only.

I am still waiting for my Nikon system, as Pocket Wizards will produce later on.

Needless to say that I will be out for some intensive shooting and testing sessions.

Check back this space soon for more details on the new Pocket Wizards MiniTT1 & FlexTT5
